Tonight im sipping a nice session ipa from a small brewery named Higgins,

The guy that runs the brewery has a gift for brewing really amazing beers,

A couple of weeks back i had a chance to meet him, and he’s also a great guy in general.

In other news, yesterday was supposed to be my last day in Germany, and today i was supposed to start a new chapter in my life and career in Seattle.

Thanks to the the travel ban, it looks like i will be staying here a while longer.

Kinda bummed, but at least it is looking like free payed vacation!

I was thinking of taking a dry 30 days, but that might not work out. I went ahead and bought some beer last night, just because it made me feel better to have it stocked. We’ll see how I hold up. But, if I do start drinking, it will be Carlsberg in a .5L can.

Eh, I like it well enough. I understand it’s sort of the Budweiser of Denmark (the stuff we get is brewed in France). I like the .5L cans, but only of poured into an appropriately sized glass.

I’m pretty sure calling it a Budwiser is a compliment.

I consider it the Mitsubishi of beer, you buy it because there was absolutely nothing else in stock

I grabbed a dirty 30 of Buschhhhh Light last nite, along with a six pack of a local Honey Cream Ale. I’ve still got a small stock pile of stouts and porters at home, all small brew stuff. A really good double oatmeal stout from Silver Harbor brewing in MI, an orange chocolate nitro stout, and my all time favorite, Pile O’ Dirt Porter from Crew Peak Brewing here in South Dakota.

Work where in Seattle? Find somewhere to live? FYI, most of the bigger companies in the area (Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc) are having all their employees work from home

Sounds like a great quarantine!

I tasted Silver harbor chocolate stout a while back, and i remember ot was great, and that's coming from a non-stout person

This is maybe the same one? They had a couple and it seems like most stouts have some sort of chocolate in them. Golden Ticket it’s called, definitely one of the better ones I’ve had.
